Program of Studies - Grade 7
The seventh grade art course is a six week course. Throughout these six weeks, I will lead students to further develop art skills, vocabulary, creativity, and concepts of design that were instilled during the Grade 6 course.
I will lead students through instruction and application of two dimensional lessons that may include painting, collage, drawing, and printmaking.
Three dimensional instruction and applications may include creative projects such as clay containers or functional pottery.
Lessons in art history, art appreciation, and art criticism are integrated into all of the lessons as a framework of the curriculum geared toward building a well rounded individual.
